IHC and VA Partnership

Posted on September 21, 2011 by IHC Administrator

We are very pleased to announce the start of another exciting project partnership with the Veterans Health Administration. The project, Open Disclosure Training Program (ODTP), will unite the clinical and disclosure expertise of  leaders at the Lexington VA with IHC’s expertise in communication skills training. Phase I of ODTP is development of program materials (workshop, video production, and simulations) and training to be offered to VA healthcare teams throughout the country in a two-day experiential workshop. Principals on this project include Dr. Edward Dunn, Chief, Performance Improvement, Lexington VAMC (principal investigator), Dr. Aaliyah Eaves-Leanos, Policy Advisor, FDA, Silver Springs, Md. (co-investigator), Barbara Andrews, Director of Grants and Projects, IHC and Dr. Kathleen Bonvicini, CEO, IHC.  For more information, please contact IHC at info@healthcarecomm.org or (800) 800-5907.
