Kathleen Bonvicini participated in the 2012 Five Boro Bike Tour: A New York Bike Event on May 6th. She was one of 32,000 cyclists that pedaled the 40 miles through the 5 boroughs of New York: Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. She rode to benefit Cancercare.org , a Manhattan-based non-profit organization that provides cancer care to individuals and families. The 33 member CancerCare.org cycling team this year raised nearly $50,000 for the organization.

“Participating in this bike event was truly inspirational and invigorating…I was surrounded by the diverse beauty of New York…the sun was shining…and everyone was smiling…life doesn’t get better than that.”
Kathleen hopes to coordinate a similar effort for the 2014 race as a fundraiser for IHC.
