Tower Foundation, and the Permanente Medical Group. In addition, IHC enters into partnerships with client organizations who have participated in faculty training. What Is The Relationship Between IHC and Its Commercial Sponsors?
IHC is an independent not-for-profit organization legally incorporated as a publicly supported organization in the state of Indiana. The fiduciary responsibility for IHC rests with its independent Board of Directors. By law and policy IHC does not engage in any commercial activity to further the financial interests of its commercial sponsors.
Why Do Commercial Sponsors Help Fund IHC?
The commercial sponsors derive their capacity to thrive and prosper because of the support of the health care community. Through their long-term financial and organizational commitment to IHC, the sponsors seek to be recognized for their contributions to health care that go beyond the development, manufacture and distribution of health care products. They seek recognition as active participants in improving health care through a variety of activities.
How Does One Become Active In The Work Of IHC?
IHC Faculty members are active in the development, conduct and distribution IHC workshops in health care organizations. Faculty members are trained to engage in coaching their peers, creating and implementing strategies for organizational change, and influencing the curricula of health profession schools and residency programs. Faculty members are clinicians and health professionals who are interested in and committed to the improvement of health care communication.
