Licensing Materials
IHC staff has had extensive experience in developing and tailoring a wide variety of training materials on clinician-patient communication. This includes workbooks, slides, training videos, and other materials for teaching and practicing patient-centered communication. IHC workshop materials are available for purchase by organizations whose designated employees have completed IHC train-the-trainer courses. Workbooks and other materials should be ordered for purchase at least two weeks prior to a scheduled workshop.
In addition, IHC offers an opportunity to healthcare systems, practices, academic institutions, and residency programs to use and reproduce IHC’s copyrighted workshop materials through the purchase of an annual license. The annual license allows organizations to use and reproduce IHC’s copyrighted materials in accordance with the provisions in the licensing agreement.
There is an annual fee per one-year term license, renewable each year, which provides unlimited copies of the workbook for workshop attendees. In addition, licensees pay a per learner administration fee for learners who request CME/NCPD credits in the United States. These fees support IHC workshop updates, workshop material administration and evaluation, and CME/NCPD accreditation costs.
IHC is the sole CME/NCPD provider for all workshops whether workbooks are purchased from IHC or reproduced under the license. IHC provides all appropriate certificates and CME/NCPD credits to learners for their completion of IHC workshops. For more information about obtaining a license and the current fee schedule contact Laurie Mansfield at lmansfield@healthcarecomm.org.
